Claim here for FREE Underfloor Insulation

Reduce the cost of heating your home with FREE Underfloor Insulation (UFI) – this is one of the easiest ways to improve the warmth and comfort of your home, and there is absolutely no mess because it's all done underneath your floor.

You might have got your ceiling and walls insulated, but as much as 20% of your heating is also lost through your floor.

Free Underfloor insulation

This is probably the least disruptive type of home insulation.

When insulating from below, the mineral fibre is rolled out and secured with netting that is stapled between the floor joists.

You will need an access hatch to your cellar or basement. If you do not have one, our fitters are able to make it for you in a hidden place usually under the stairs.

Under ECO3 government funding we will arrange for a qualified professional to come to your home and check if your property is suitable.

Is my property suitable?

Free House insulation grant

If you have a basement or cellar beneath your house then you definitely have a suspended floor that is suitable for UFI. If your property is on a slope then it will also likely qualify.

Older homes are most likely to have suspended timber ground floors. Suspended floors are where the floorboards rest over the joists. These floors lose more heat as they are suspended over a void of cold air.

If you have air bricks or ventilation bricks on the outside walls this may be another sign that you have a suspended floor suitable for UFI.

Do I qualify?

It is likely that houses built after the 1980’s will not be eligible for Underfloor Insulation as they usually have solid concrete floors.

You probably qualify for UFI, if you have a basement or cellar, or a property that is built on a slope. You will need at least 1m of headroom underneath the floor, and hatch access.

At least two thirds of the footprint of the house must be available for UFI installation.

You need to receive an ECO3 benefit, click here to see eligible ECO3 benefits.

The property should be located in England, Scotland or Wales and be heated by a gas.

You must be a homeowner occupying the property.

If you have had your ground floor insulated in the past, you may be eligible for having it redone to the latest standards. One of our qualified fitters can advise you on this.
