FREE insulation for properties with electric heating
We are pleased to announce that from 1 October 2018, ECO3 funding has a specific focus on properties with electric heating. If you have an electric heated property then we are keen to support you with several different types of insulation, all of which you can have for FREE!

Now many properties heated with electric storage heaters, electric boilers and free-standing electric heaters (including small flats and homes, all across the UK) are the big winners of the new ECO3 scheme. So, whether you have a flat or not, if you are heated by electricity then we are keen to speak to you.
This is particularly important for Landlords and Tenants as we approach 1st April 2022 and beyond. Tenanted properties with an EPC rating lower than E, cannot be rented from this date. This could affect you moving forwards whether you are a Landlord or a Tenant. With only 4% of Landlords currently aware of this (according to Just Landlords) then we strongly advise you to act now and boost your EPC rating using the range of insulation we offer above.

Who is eligible?
The property must be heated by electric storage heaters, an electric boiler or free standing electric heaters.
The property is probably a flat or a maisonette but doesn't have to be.
The current occupant of the property receives qualifying ECO3 benefits.
You must be the Homeowner, Landlord or a Private Tenant. Private Tenants must have their Landlord permission. If you are a Landlord you must have an eligible ECO3 Tenant living in the property that requires insulation.
Also, Housing Associations can apply for grants in the same way as private Landlords and so can their Tenants.
